| Inventory Recruitment Agent - San Antonio TX Role within company: Make daily cold calls via drop-by or telephone looking for merchandise to be sold at auction. This job is very similar to the TV show "American Pickers" at times. Once an individual or company looking to sell an item(s) has been identified, the IRA will work directly with management to make bids on items for sale or give guarantees of what each item will bring at auction in a consignment situation. At the end of each day a log of progress is to be entered into a company spreadsheet so that the sales team can plan for the most logical approach for converting the lead into a customer. Commission is made on any items recruited and delivered to auction. Required Skills: Bi-Lingual Computer Literate has dependable vehicle Skills needed to be a "Home Run Hitter" Tenacity work ethic and a strong desire for success Team focused Honesty and Trustworthiness Clean Cut and Presentable Individual that can make anyone feel like a friend instantly. The Real Story: This is a fun and fast paced job that the right person could earn 70K+ annually. This is also a position that has proven to be very challenging and has seen many come in and not have success. The IRA is the life-blood of their respective auction territory and this job has high-production expectations. Company will train the right candidate but ultimately this is an outside sales job. It requires a perfect mesh of talent (as described above) and strong work ethic when not directly supervised.
